Newport County AFC are pleased to announce the signing of forward Aaron Willams who joins the club from Peterborough United.
The twenty three year old striker joins the Exiles in time for tomorrow’s Sky Bet League two encounter with Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.
The West Bromwich born forward was signed by Peterborough in 2016 after a season at Nuneaton Town.
Speaking after the deal had been agreed manager Graham Westley said “My main priority in this window is to strengthen our back 4 and defensive midfield options. It is obvious that we need to be better at both ends of the pitch and we all know that Rhys is off back to Cardiff. Bringing in Aaron will increase our work ethic and thrust as a team . This is a good start to building a momentum and winning team in the second half of the season.
The contract duration is 18 months.
