Christian Jolley leaves County

Newport County AFC can now confirm that the Club has reached an agreement with Christian Jolley to leave the football club in order to find first team football.

Christian played a major role during our promotion season from the Conference Premier scoring on his debut and going on to score 15 goals for Newport County including one in the second leg playoff against Grimsby and a goal at Wembley to secure promotion to the Football League. Christian went on to make 38 appearances for County in our first season back in the Football League.

County Manager Justin Edinburgh commented "I'd personally like to wish Christian all the best for the future and I speak for everyone at the club when I say that. Christian was sensational on his loan period with the club and continued that right through to the early part of last season, after his operation we tried everything to get him back to full fitness and rediscover the form he once had. Christian was one of the major factors in our promotion and we wish him all the best."

Christian Jolley commented "I would like to thank you all for the support you've given me, you've helped me play some of my best football and that day at Wembley will be with me forever! Proud to be apart of Newports journey and long may the success continue."
