Newport County remain in sixth place following today's League 2 results.
Goals from Aaron O'Connor and Shaun Jeffers had seen County climb up to sixth place following last night's 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley, and The Exiles remain in sixth spot following today's round of matches. Third placed Bury versus fourth placed Southend was billed as the game of the weekend in League 2, but it lasted just six minutes after a torrential downpour saw Southend's long journey put to waste.
Meanwhile Plymouth climbed up into the play off places with a 3-0 victory over Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road, whilst Luton Town drop out of the top seven following a 2-1 defeat at Northampton Town.
