Congratulations to Newport County Youth players Lee Evans, Joe Thomas and James Harmer who, in recent weeks, have all been chosen to represent the Welsh Schools at U18 level. Lee, James and Joe all played in the 2 – 0 win against English Colleges and also in the 1 – 3 defeat against the touring Australia Under 18s. Lee is captain of the team and also scored in both games.
During last week’s training camp, Paul Morgan, another prominent Youth player, was also drafted into the squad and is hoping to play in the games against Stoke City Academy tomorrow (Tuesday 21. 2. 12) and England Schools next week.

Congratulations also to one of our Under 16 Academy coaches Scott Redwood, who today (Monday 20. 2. 12) begins his new job as equipment officer for Liverpool FC Academy. Scott is a Cardiff boy, a Bluebird supporter and guess when and where his first match will be!!!
Yes, Cardiff City .v. Liverpool at Wembley in this weekend’s Carling Cup Final. Talk about coincidence.
