Former Welsh International David signed non-contract terms with County in September, 2011, following his return to the professional game; before officially signing for the season in early November. Born in Caerphilly, the industrious midfielder began his career with Coventry City in 2001, where he scored twice in 21 first team appearances before moving to Notts County where he is still held in extremely high esteem by their supporters. David made 141 appearances at Meadow Lane, scoring 4 times before heading to Bristol Rovers where he also found himself a firm terrace favourite; notching three goals in 86 league appearances during a stint that included a brief spell on loan at Cheltenham Town. A player with exceptional work rate, David won his one full Welsh cap during a 2-0 defeat against the USA in 2003 and has also been capped twelve times at U21 level.
