Scottish centre-forward Craig arrives at Newport County boasting a wealth of experience. As part of the hugely impressive Crawley Town side that romped to the league title last season, the industrious striker bagged 15 goals and played a large part in the league and FA Cup success that the Sussex side enjoyed. Described as "an explosive front man", Craig began his career with Eastleigh before moving onto Basingstoke Town in 2002, where he plundered some 66 goals in just 112 games. A move to Stevenage followed, before Craig took in various spells with Woking, Grays Athletic, Oxford United and Exeter City. He also enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Gravesend & Northfleet, Rushden & Diamonds, Barnet and Rotherham United. Despite Crawley's elevation to Football League status for this season, Craig rejected the offer of a new contract and joined County, before heading to Luton Town on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window..
