On-loan Liverpool left-back Adam Lewis is in his second spell at Rodney Parade, having dazzled Exiles with his breath-taking displays during the 2022/23 season.

Liverpool-born Lewis impressed throughout his younger years, excelling during his time in the Liverpool academy and captaining the under-18 side managed by Steven Gerrard. He would also represent England at four different age groups.

He signed a long-term contract with his hometown club in February 2019 and was handed his first-team debut a year later against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup. Neil Critchley took charge of the game, with Liverpool winning 1-0 at Anfield.

Lewis would then be sent out on his first loan spell, joining French Ligue 2 club Amiens for the 20/21 season. He impressed during his time at the Stade de la Licorne, making nine league appearances for the side.

He would return to the UK in January, being sent out on loan to League One side Plymouth Argyle. He wasted no time making his presence felt, grabbing a debut goal away at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland.

Following the success of that spell, he spent a season on loan at Livingston, making 14 appearances for the Scottish Premiership Club.

He first signed for County on loan on June 23rd 2022, and quickly become a fan favourite in South Wales. He made his debut for us against Walsall and scored his first goal during a 1-1 draw with Rochdale.

His first spell at Rodney Parade was halted by an injury, but he returned to the club in July 2023 and has already set about building on the hard work and reputation he earned himself during his first nine months at the club.
