County U18s 7-2 Plymouth Argyle
Newport County AFC U18s took on Plymouth Argyle U18s in the Youth Alliance Cup First round on Wednesday afternoon at Dragon Park.County started with an unchanged side from the weekend win over Bristol Rovers, here's how they lined up:
Starting XI: Luke Harries, Cedrick Mpadi, Regan Poole (C), Sam James, Kieran Parselle, Harry Waterhouse, Croey Shephard, Lewis Bamford, Aaron Collins, Ben Brooks, Tom Owen-Evans.
SUBS: Spencer Wood, Nathan Wood, Daniel Raymond, Jordan Rathbone, Joe Ward.
Ben Brooks continued his goal scoring form by scoring a hat-trick against Plymouth to add to his goal against Bristol. A brace from Aaron O'Collins followed by goals from Tom Owen-Evans and Sam James was enough to see Mike Flynn's side safely through to the second round draw with a 7-2 win over Plymouth Argyle.
The U18s now return to Youth Alliance league action on Saturday morning as they face Swindon Town at Dragon Park.
