NATO - Host City Celebrations

Newport County AFC face Burton Albion at Rodney Parade on Saturday afternoon and to celebrate the final home game before the NATO Summit, a special request has been made by the Government for this game to be used as Host City Celebrations.

The day will see a host of dignitaries visit Rodney Parade on Saturday afternoon including the Secretary of State for Wales, the Lord Lieutenant for Gwent, the Mayor & Mayoress of Newport, Leader of Newport City Council and Commander 160 Brigade.

The day will include activities by County in the community on the cabbage patch outside of Rodney Parade. A marching band from 160 Brigade will perform before the match and during half time, while the match ball will be delivered by the Red Devils parachute team prior to kick off.
