Volunteers work into the night
Around 20 volunteers braved the elements tonight after the Newport RFC v Aberavon RFC match at Rodney Parade by ensuring pitch covers were in place prior to expected further rain overnight.Led by County staff Dave Boddy, James Watts, Jordan Royal and Norman Parselle, the volunteers were onto the pitch at the final whistle to cover the worst affected areas.
A huge thank you to the County fans who managed to attend at such short notice.
