Date confirmed for FA Youth Cup tie against Southend United at Rodney Parade...
The U18's will face Southend United in the second round of the FA Youth Cup, on Wednesday 25th November at Rodney Parade, kick-off 7pm.The County youngsters booked their place in the second-round of the competition by beating Sholing F.C on penalties a fortnight ago.
Southend beat Barton Rovers 9-1 to set up the clash with the Exiles.
Looking ahead to the tie, Academy Director, Grant Kalahar, said, "We are very much looking forward to our next FA Youth Cup game. We travelled to watch Southend United in their game against Barton and were impressed with their pace and quality".
"Our lads have been in good form recently and each player has worked hard at their individual game admirably over the last few months, so a step further out of their comfort zones against Southend will help them improve further".
"It should be a tight, competitive match, which we can't wait for".

Our ticket office is open 10am-3pm Monday to Friday and on home Saturday's, with extended opening hours until 7pm on the day prior to home fixtures.
We also open for one hour after a home fixture for future match purchases.
