Aaron Hayden's loan extended

4 September 2015

The defender extends his stay at Rodney Parade...

Aaron made his debut for County against Cambridge in our first league game of the season, just forty-eight hours after joining the club on a youth loan.

The defender then returned to the starting lineup against Plymouth Argyle last Saturday, impressing with a solid defensive display alongside Kevin Feely.

The extension to the loan will see Aaron stay with Newport County AFC until the 10th of October.

Manager Terry Butcher has been impressed with the performances from the 18-year-old, alluding to the mature nature in which he has gone about his work.

"Aaron has done very well, after a tough baptism at Cambridge. He has bided his time and pushed his way into the team against Plymouth last week and was very good against Swindon in the week."

"Aaron is happy here and I spoke to Wolves and they are happy for him to be here. It is another month and another progression for him, he gives us great scope because he is quick and strong across the back."
