Newport County AFC are pleased to announce the loan signing of forward Jaanai Gordon who joins the club from West Ham United.
The twenty one year old striker joins the Exiles in time for tomorrow’s Sky Bet League two encounter with Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.
The Northampton born forward was signed by West Ham in 2014 after two years at Peterborough. He has been out on loan at Chelmsford, Nuneaton and Sligo Rovers.
Speaking after the loan deal had been agreed manager Graham Westley said “My main priority in this window is to strengthen our back 4 and defensive midfield options. It is obvious that we need to be better at both ends of the pitch and we all know that Rhys is off back to Cardiff. Jaanai is a player with the potential to change games. It is a good start to building a momentum and winning team in the second half of the season.”
The loan deal will run to the end of the season.
