CHELSEA U21s| What's on at Rodney Parade?

24 September 2018

Tomorrow night (25th September), Newport County AFC will host the Chelsea stars of tomorrow when the Exiles welcome Chelsea’s U21s to South Wales in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Chelsea have proven themselves as the stand-out invited team in this competition consistently out-performing their fellow Premier League youth sides.  This season looks to be no different with the youngsters comfortably defeating Swindon Town in their opening Group Match.

Newport County AFC are only opening the Bisley Stand for this match so all Newport County AFC and Chelsea FC supporters will be housed here.

Ticket prices are £5 for adults, £3 for concessions, and £1 for juniors with no increased prices on the day.  Find out more.

Newport County AFC supporters can purchase tickets online here whilst Away Supporters will be able to purchase on the day from the Away Ticket Cabin.  The Away Cabin is cash only and will be open from 6.15pm.

The Club Shop at Kingsway Centre will be open from 9.30am-5pm for all your merchandising needs.  Tickets for the home match will be on sale there until 4.30pm.  The Ticket Office at Rodney Parade will open from 5pm.

There is no fan zone for tomorrow’s match but the marquee will open as usual with savings to be made at the bar when you show your Season Ticket Card.

Find out all about our visitors in the Match Day Programme as well as a brief look back at on this day.  You can also here from the manager and learn more about very special lucky mascot!  All this from just £1.50.

A massive thank you has to go to Checkatrade for their generous donation of tickets to our County in the Community Walking Football and We Wear the Same Shirt sides for tomorrow’s match.

To celebrate, at half time the Walking Football and We Wear the Same Shirt sides will be competing in a friendly match on the pitch (weather permitting).

Make sure you look out for them!

If the result is a draw at full time, the match will go straight to penalties.  These will be taken in the traditional manner (not the ABBA system as trialled last season).
