The Exiles play host to Swansea City U23s for the second successive season when the Swans visit Rodney Parade on Tuesday. The visitors will be looking to improve on their exploits from the competition last season, where they reached the quarter-finals. In reaching the last-eight, the Swans ensured they went the furthest of any of the Premier League academy teams, before losing on penalties to eventual tournament winners Coventry City.

The Glovers have failed to win any of their previous visits to South Wales, but do have some credible away victories thus far this campaign. They will be looking to finish higher than the 20th position secured last season, which saw them finish two points clear of County and just four above relegation.

They sit a place below that at the moment, having made a steady start to the current campaign.
