In the January transfer window of 2018, we welcomed back the incredibly skilled and creative attacking-midfielder Josh Sheehan back to Rodney Parade.

Now a permanant Newport County AFC player, Sheehan is back at the club where he enjoyed such a prolific and positive run of games in the 3 month period he spent at Rodney Parade under Graham Westley.

The 22-year old scored 7 goals in all competitions during his time here last season, making him one of County’s 2016/17 joint top goal scorers.

A Welsh U21 international, Sheehan has caught the eye internationally mutiple times. He has made nine appearances for the Wales U19 team and also 12 appearances for the Wales U21's.

After going out on loan three times, during his time at Swansea (twice at Yeovil Town and once at County) Sheehan commented that it was time for him to really push on professionally: "It's great to be back at Newport County. It has been a while since I last kicked a ball for this Club and I really cannot wait to get going again and hopefully help push Newport up the table."

DID YOU KNOW? Josh Sheehan made his first and only professional appearance for Swansea City in a 1-0 win against Rotherham United in the Second Round of the League Cup on the 26 August 2014.
