19-year-old Tyreeq Bakinson originally began his career with the Luton Under 10s where stayed with them for 6 years and was a member of the team that Young Alliance South East title and Young Alliance Cup in 2015-16, along with reaching the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup.
Bakinson made his first professional appearance for Luton town when he came on as a sub on the final day of the 15/16 season in a 4-1 win over Exeter City. Bakinson was named for a starting appearance for Luton for the first time in the 16/17 season against Gillingham in their 2-1 over them in the EFL Trophy on August 30th, 2016. Where he then went on to make 5 appearances for Luton town over the course of the next year.
Tyreeq then signed for the Championship side Bristol City where he made his first appearance for the team as an 80th minute substitute against Premier League team Crystal Palace in which Bristol were triumphant over them 4-1.
