Youthful team in action at Cheltenham
Newport County AFC fell to defeat against a strong Cheltenham Town side earlier today.The match, which took place at Cheltenham's training ground, was a useful run out for several first team players including Mike Flynn, Ryan Burge, Andrew Hughes and Christian Jolley along with the majority of the County youth team.
Ashley Vincent opened the scoring for the host before good work from Jolley led to an equaliser from youth team player J Clever.
As the substitutions came thick and fast Cheltenham regained the lead through Joe Hanks before two late goals from Vincent again and Adam Powell resulted in a 4-1 defeat for the County.
