Former boss Jimmy Dack and midfield man Robbie Willmott have today found new clubs
Dack who announced his departure from Rodney Parade at the end of the season having been in charge since the departure of Justin Edinburgh in February, was today named as Assistant Manager of Crawley Town. Dack had previously been Assistant to former County boss Justin Edinburgh since his arrival at Newport in 2011.
Dack returns to Crawley where he had previously enjoyed two playing spells in the mid-1990s and the early 2000s that saw him rack up almost 100 appearances in total.
The former County man who becomes Mark Yates' number two, told the Official Crawley Town Website
“It’s amazing to think that 20 years after I played for the club I am back at Crawley Town as Mark’s assistant. The club’s rise into the Football League has been amazing and one I have followed closely and it is now great to be part of Crawley Town again in this role."
Meanwhile another former County man also found new employment today. Robbie Willmott who made over 60 appearances for The Exiles in a spell that started in January 2013, today joined Conference South side Ebbsfleet United after not being offered a deal to remain at Newport by boss Terry Butcher.
Everyone at Newport wishes the pair every success at their new clubs.
