JANUARY TRANSFER NEWS| Aaron Collins returns to Newport County AFC on loan until the end of the Season

3 January 2018

Newport County AFC Academy Graduate, Aaron Collins, has returned to Newport County AFC on loan until the end of the season subject to international clearance.  Collins left Newport County in 2016 after being snapped up by current EFL Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The twenty-year-old has impressed in Wolves’ Academy since moving to the midlands Club and can also include successful loan spells at Notts County, Tranmere Rovers and Maidstone United on his CV.

Manager Michael Flynn has always been a supporter of Aaron Collins and as Youth Development Office, Flynn played a key role in ensuring Collins was offered his first pro-contract at Newport County AFC back in 2015.  He’s delighted to have him back at the Club.

On securing Collins’ loan deal, Manager Michael Flynn said: “I have always kept an eye on Aaron and I feel I can get the best out of him.  He’s talented and hungry, and after watching his performance on Live TV for Maidstone, it’s obvious to me that he’s ready.”

Aaron Collins was also excited to return to the Exiles: “I am delighted to come back to my hometown Club.  I can’t wait to get started and hopefully help the Club move up the table.”
