Neil Hair will be the man in the middle for Newport County AFC’s Carabao Cup first round tie against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Tuesday.
The Cambridgeshire-born official last took charge of a County game back in March 2020 where he oversaw the Exiles’ 1-0 win against Morecambe at Rodney Parade.
During the 2020/21 season, Hair produced 82 yellow and two red cards across 21 games.
Hair, who is now in his fourth season as an EFL referee after spending two seasons in the National League, will be assisted by Leigh Crowhurst and Michael Begley.
Aaron Farmer will be the fourth official.
