Sky Bet Fan of the Month - November
Newport County fan John Hughes has been named the Sky Bet League 2 Fan of the Month for November.
John started watching the team nine years ago, and has only missed one home game in the last seven years, when he had to go to Scotland with his band.
John also volunteers in the hospitality area on a matchday, entertaining VIP guests at Rodney Parade.
John said: “I was gobsmacked to win the award. It feels fantastic to be recognised by the club and by Sky Bet.
“It’s been a privilege to help out at the club over the last seven years and I’ve met some amazing people in that time.”
Newport County Chief Executive Dave Boddy said: "We are delighted that another of our loyal fans has been awarded the Sky Bet League 2 Fan of the Month, the second successive month that one of our supporters has received the award.
"John has been a loyal supporter for many years and is also an exceptional volunteer for the Club, helping our matchday hospitality team and involved in many fundraising and charity activities, including several sponsored walks from his Bristol home to Newport.
“He is a much deserved recipient of the award.”
