As long as a Newport County AFC player is fit and available to play, they will always be in contention for selection.Manager Justin Edinburgh is constantly liaising with the players at Newport County AFC regarding contracts and, as is the case with all football clubs at this time, is putting provisions in place for the future of the club to continue our development.
In relation to specific queries concerning David Pipe and Mike Flynn the Manager has spoken to both players as their contracts naturally end at the end of the 2013/14 season. Both players are very much a vital part of the Newport County AFC squad for an intensive period of 16 games in the next 9 weeks and following discussions between Justin Edinburgh and Pipe and Flynn it was agreed to allow their contracts to elapse naturally at the end of the season when they will be free to move on.
