County's Pring bike ride for Prostate Cancer UK

Newport County AFC is asking all fans to support our very own Tony Pring who is the club’s nominee to cycle from London to Amsterdam for the Prostate Cancer UK (PCUK) charity. This is a nationwide challenge with every Football League club nominating an individual for this special bike ride that opens on 6th June at Leyton Orient FC and is scheduled to finish at AFC Ajax on June 8th.

The route will head out of London, through 90 miles of rural countryside to Harwich where a ferry will take the group across the channel overnight to Hook in Holland. On the Saturday (June 7th) a further 60 miles will be cycled through the flat landscape of the Dutch Zeeland before arriving at Ajax.

The evening will be spent celebrating the achievements of this great event in the centre of Amsterdam with a celebratory dinner. On the Sunday the team will be able to recuperate by returning to London on the Eurostar after lunch.

We are asking County supporters to join in and anyone is free to sign up to cycle with Tony, Luther Blissett and a host of other former players, fans and officials from the world of football. Registration fee is £149 and included in the ride is:

• Full support from experienced leaders, medical staff, drivers and cooks
• Accommodation on the overnight ferry and on a twin-share basis in an Amsterdam Hotel
• Return journey to London via Eurostar
• A Cycling Jersey
• A Celebratory Dinner

To sign up and find out more about this wonderful event go to prostatecanceruk.org/amsterdam

Good luck Tony from all the County
