MATCH PREVIEW: Gloucester City

Newport County travel to Cinderford on Saturday to face Tim Harris' Gloucester City AFC for our fourth pre-season friendly against the Conference North side.

This will be the third pre-season friendly for Gloucester City after 2-1 wins against Cinderford Town and Evesham United. Gloucester came from behind with a late comeback against Cinderford spearheaded by Adam Mann and Scott Wilson, a similar scene to their previous friendly against Evesham United with Elliott Chamberlain and Adam Mann providing the late comeback for The Tigers. Gloucester Manager Tim Harris will be looking forward to coming up against old friends on Saturday along with ex County players Nat Jarvis, Billy Jones and Charlie Griffin.

NEWPORT COUNTY AFC

Justin Edinburgh will be looking for more of the same against Gloucester City AFC, with wins over Evesham (2-4), Cirencester (0-5) and Weston Super Mare (0-2). The squad will now face another test in Conference North side Gloucester City on Saturday. The Newport County forwards are looking full of confidence in front of goal during pre-season with a total of 11 goals in three games so far. While two clean sheets for Lenny Pidgeley and the County defence can only give confidence to all involved. Everyone involved will know that they will face a tough test against Gloucester with Tim Harris in charge for The Tigers. Max Porter is unavailable for the game, while Danny Crow is also out of the game as a precautionary measure whilst Aaron O'Connor will also be unavailable due to personal reasons.
