Football & Fustal College Coach

The ‘Football & Futsal College Coach’ role will be responsible for delivering the College Coaching Programme. This involves providing between 12 to 16 hours of quality Football & Futsal coaching per week. The job also involves travelling with the ‘Newport County AFC – South West Counties’ team on Saturday Mornings and Futsal team on Wednesdays to matches.

Candidates for the role must be enthusiastic, energetic and reliable. They should also have excellent communication skills and have previous experience of working in a football or sport delivery within a school/college environment.

In addition, the role requires candidates to have a minimum FAW/FA Level 2 Football Coaching qualification. An FAW/FA Level 1 in Coaching Futsal would be desirable, but not essential.

The role also requires candidates to hold up-to- date Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid certificates.

As part of the recruitment process a DBS certificate as well as satisfactory references must also be provided.

A full UK driving licence would be required to for the role.

The role will consist of 37.5 working hours per week and will run from September 2015 to July 2016, in accordance with the academic year.

Salary is dependent on skills, qualifications, and previous experience, and will be discussed at interview stage.

Community Coach

The ‘Community Coach’ role will be responsible for delivering the Welsh Football Trust Regional Investment Plan. This will involve delivering sessions under the following headings: Schools, Football Hub and Inclusion.  

Candidates for the role must be enthusiastic, energetic and reliable. They should also have excellent communication skills and have previous experience of working in a football or sport delivery within a school/community environment.

In addition, the role requires candidates to have a minimum FAW/FA Level 1 Football Coaching qualification. An FAW/FA Level 1 in Coaching Futsal would be desirable, but not essential.

The role also requires candidates to hold up-to-date Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid certificates.
