COLLEGE PROGRAMME STUDENT SIGNS FOR THE ACADEMY

The Academy sign youngster from the Community ran College Programme…

Momodou Touray had impressed with performances for both the Futsal and South West Countries team and has been rewarded with a scholarship in the Academy.

The forward signed his scholar forms today, under the supervision of County in the Community development officer Norman Parselle, Academy Manager Grant Kalahar and his parents.

College Programme coordinator, David Lewis, who coaches both the Futsal and South West Counties teams, believes the opportunity is evidence of the hard work that Momodou has shown during his time in the College Programme.

“Momodou has conducted himself extremely well over the past six months and has been a pleasure to coach,” said Lewis.

“He has reaped the rewards of his continuous hard work which have saw him represent his country at school boy level, alongside attending a two-week intense trial at Swansea City."

“Momodou has been a vital part of the college programme, playing in both the Futsal and South West Counties games programmes and has performed to a very high level in which he has now been given an excellent opportunity in becoming a scholar.”

“All of us within the Community team wish Momodou all the very best.”

Momodou will begin his two-year scholarship with the academy in July.
