On Friday 8th September, the players, staff and directors of Newport County AFC will be joining the Sanges family and the Amber Army at St Johns Church for Kieran's funeral. Kieran Sanges was a young County fan and a passionate member of the Amber Army. He passed away last week aged just 14 after losing his battle with cancer.
Kieran’s funeral will take place on Friday 8th September 2017 and all attendees are invited to meet at the church for midday. The procession will move to Christchurch Cemetry at 1.30pm for the burial and the wake will follow on at the Windsor Club.
This is an open funeral and many of Newport County AFC’s supporters will be attending to show their respect to Kieran. Six of County’s players will also be taking on the honour of carrying Kieran’s coffin at the family’s request.
It was Kieran’s wish that everyone attending his funeral wear Newport County AFC shirts, amber tops or bright colours.
