Newport County AFC will face Oxford United at Rodney Parade in the Second Round of the Carabao Cup.
In 2017/18 it was a trip to Elland Road that awaited County in the Second Round, this season it will be a different challenge with a home tie against Sky Bet League One side Oxford United.
These two sides have met 20 times in the league. County have won six of these meetings whilst five of the matches ended in draws. The two sides have never met in a Cup.
Michael Flynn and his side overcame League One sides Southend United and Walsall in Cup ties last season, and will hope to leave Oxford United with a similar fate.
This match will take place at Rodney Parade the week commencing the 27th August 2018. Confirmation of the date and time of County's match vs Oxford along with ticket information will be released in due course.
