This morning, Manager Michael Flynn accepted the LMA 'Performance of the Week' Award for County's superb Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Replay victory over Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle and Dave Bassett, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Newport County for their 2 – 0 victory over Middlesbrough on Tuesday 5th February.
The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.
Newport County Manager Michael Flynn will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.
The last time the award was presented to the Club was after the historic 2-1 victory that completed the Great Escape.
