Benjamin Speedie will be the man in the middle for Newport County AFC’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium on Saturday.
The Merseyside-born official has previously taken charge of one County game which was the Exiles’ opening game of the 2020/21 season against Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park, where Michael Flynn’s men were held to a 1-1 draw.
In his first season as an EFL referee, he produced 78 yellow cards and five reds across 29 games last term.
Speedie will be assisted by Helen Edwards and Billy Smallwood, while Graham Fyvie is the fourth official.
