Newport County AFC will take on Ipswich Town FC in the first round of the 2021/22 Carabao Cup.
The Exiles, who were ball number 22 in today's draw which took place on Sky Sports, were placed in the southern section.
Michael Flynn’s side will look to follow up their success in last season’s competition after reaching the fourth round for the first time in the club’s history.
The Exiles were knocked out by Premier League side Newcastle United on penalties last term after victories over Swansea City, Cambridge United and Watford.
County will now get this season's competition under way at Portman Road, with the fixture scheduled to take place on the week commencing Monday 9th August.
