Visiting guide | Northampton Town

14 September 2021

Newport County AFC warmly welcomes Northampton Town supporters to Rodney Parade for this evening's Sky Bet League Two fixture.

We want to ensure that you have an enjoyable trip to south Wales to watch the Cobblers in action, so we have put together the following guide detailing everything you need to know ahead of your visit.

HOW TO GET TO RODNEY PARADE

By car:

In order to reach Rodney Parade from Northampton, whether you choose to arrive from the Prince of Wales Bridge or from the A449, you will need to take the B4237 off the Coldra roundabout and onto Chepstow Road. You will then need to find a parking space from either of the following options listed below. It is then a short walk from the car parks to the stadium.

By train:

It is only a short walk from Newport Train Station to Rodney Parade where you will have to cross the river via Newport Bridge after passing underneath the Old Green Roundabout.

PARKING

Please be aware that the surrounding area is mainly residents only parking and so you'll need to allow some time to find a space. There are a plethora of car parks in the city centre, including: NCP Car Park Newport High Street, Clarence House Car Park and Friars Walk Car Park which are all within reasonable walking distance from the ground.

Away fans will enter via Gate 6 towards the South Stand.

REFRESHMENTS

Inside the stadium, we have a variety of food AND drink available to away fans such as soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, hot dogs, burgers, chips, confectioneries - we’ve got you covered.

MATCHDAY PROGRAMMES

Our digital matchday programme is available free of charge on our website but a physical copy can also be bought in the ground for £2, so please look out for our sellers and we encourage you to have the right change.
