May 6, 2017 is another date that will live long in the memory for Newport County as the club produced one of the most remarkable of escapes from relegation out of the Football League.
In March of that season, the Exiles were 11 points adrift of safety and required seven wins from a possible 12, which Michael Flynn’s men managed to achieve thanks to a last-gasp win against Notts County on the final day of the season.
