Double delight at New Signings for County

New Players arrive at County

Justin Edinburgh has made his first signings in preparation for the 2014/15 season with local boy Darren Jones returning to the County along with midfielder Yan Klukowski joining from Forest Green Rovers FC.

The Manager has moved quickly to add to the squad and is delighted with the acquisitions:

'I said I wanted to provide quality and depth to the defence and midfield as we are strong at present with attacking options. It is great to get 2 targets I have been following for a while and the squad is shaping up nicely prior to pre-season.'

Central defender Darren Jones re-joins The Exiles after a recent spell with AFC Wimbledon. Prior to joining The Dons the former Wales made over 50 appearances for Shrewsbury Town.

Yan Klukowski started off with his home town club of Chippenham before breaking into the Bath City team as an 18 year old. The energetic midfielder then had a spell overseas in America and Canada before returning to spend a fruitful 4 year spell at Forest Green Rovers culminating in becoming the club's all time leading scorer on 49 goals. Despite efforts from The Lawn club to keep Klukowski the player wanted to experience the Football League and has joined Newport County AFC on a 2 year deal.
