Looking at...Yeovil Town

Chris Gadsby continues his look at this seasons Sky Bet League 2 teams, looking at Yeovil Town.

Full Name: Yeovil Town Football Club

Nickname: The Glovers

Founded: 1895

Ground: Huish Park (Capacity 9,565 of which 5,212 are seated)

Record against County: No previous meetings

Last Season: 24th (League 1) – Relegated with four games to go and finishing bottom of League 1 by nine points last year, Yeovil will be hoping to put the memories of that season behind them when they begin life in League 2 away at Exeter City. They struggled in the league for the majority of the season although wins over Crawley Town and Accrington Stanley set up a memorable home tie against Manchester United in the FA Cup at the beginning of January.

Key Player: With so many new signings and simply not knowing how each player is going to fit into their new squad, it is difficult to pick out a key player. One signing that stands out, subject to international clearance, is Jamie Burrows. The 20 year old is a product of the Rangers youth academy and has signed on a one year deal.

Fixtures: November 21st (H) April 2nd (A)

Prediction: Yeovil will be looking for a good season adapting to life in League 2 and have made 14 summer signings at the time of writing in a hope to shake up the squad and have a better year. They have bought in players with League 2 experience in an attempt to ease the transition and will certainly be hoping to avoid another difficult season as many sides have when dropping down a division. Depending on the beginning of their season they will either be looking to push for an immediate return to League 1 or look to consolidate in mid-table.
