Newport County Ladies midfielder Carys Waters has been called up to the Wales Women’s U17 squad for this week’s training camp.
Carys will have the opportunity to spend a few days with the squad training and playing alongside girls from various clubs all across Wales and England including Everton, Spurs and Liverpool.
Carys already has an international cap under her belt at U16 level and she’ll be looking to add to that in the coming months.
“It’s a fantastic achievement for Carys to be selected for the Wales U17 training camp this week, everyone within the club is over the moon for her,” said Newport County Ladies manager Dan Harvey.
“It’s fair recognition for both Carys’s ability and attitude, which has been superb since she joined us.”
He added, “This will also help the team as a whole, I’m sure, because this is the standard of player we’re looking to attract and develop in the future, as we look to keep improving the Ladies setup within the club.”
