Joe revealed that he was glad to get back out on the pitch, after serving a three match suspension for a red card in our Emirates FA Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers.
"I am delighted to be back playing," said the 'keeper.
"Obviously it was frustrating picking up a red card so late in the game against Blackburn. I have been giving it my all in training, so when I did come back into the team, then I would be ready rearing to go."
After picking up three points against Carlisle on Saturday, Joe believes the team can push on and keep expanding the gap between ourselves and the teams below us.
"We have just got to keep on pushing forward," said Day.
"The Manager has already said that we have the kind of dressing room that should be aiming to finish as high as we can in the league and I think that we are all pulling in the right direction to achieve that."
Speaking about the start that Manager Warren Feeney has enjoyed as first-team Manager, Joe explained how the players felt a seamless transition between the departure of John Sheridan and the appointment of Warren Feeney.
"It has been a very good start."
"As other players have pointed out, it has been seamless from the Manager taking over from John. I think Warren shares similar visions on what he wants to do here and he hasn't wanted to change too much, which has been beneficial to keep the momentum going."
