2017/18 Kit Launch

With just over three weeks until the start of the new season and just hours to go until the first Pre-Season Friendly of 2017, the Club is proud to unveil the new Newport County AFC kits for the 2017/18 Season.

This season's kit launch also provides the platform for the Club to launch its new branding following an extensive consultations process over the past few months to establish its identity and values. Branded as One Club One County the initiative encapsulates the Club’s ethos and values within a collective one club approach, drawing upon the Club's roots and industrious history to cement three keys values at the heart of the Club.

UNITY

Illustrated By Our Times Of Adversity We Are United As One

There is a special bond between the Club’s supporters, staff, players, managers, and everyone else in between.  The new One Club One County branding shows the Club’s unity more clearly than ever as we look to honour everyone who represents the Club and wears the badge with pride, whether that be by creating an incredible atmosphere on the terraces or by creating history on the pitch.

RESILIENCE

We Remain Strong At All Times

Newport County AFC has a long and difficult history with the resilience of its fans, players, and staff a key factor as to how the Club has survived and thrived.  Formed in 1912, dissolved in 1989, forced to play in Exile and begin a 25-year battle back to Football League, Newport County AFC is the Club that will never stop fighting.

Last season, the squad of 2016/17 used all of that resilience to defy the odds and secure their place in the Football League.

BELIEF

We Believe In Ourselves and Each Other

Everyone in the Newport County AFC community has had belief that they can achieve their targets, whether that be return to the Football League after a spell in exile, close a 12-point gap to secure League Status, go on an unbeaten run to win the Youth Alliance Merit League at the first time of asking, become a sustainable Supporter Owned Club, or even helping disabled supporters enjoy League Two football.  The Club’s belief has allowed The Exiles to achieve the impossible time after time with more impossibilities waiting just around the corner.

These values will form part of the Club’s identity as it seeks to develop on and off the field during the course of the 2017/18 season and have been fundamental in the design of the new 2017/18 kits, produced by our new kit manufacturer FBT. CEO Alex Tunbridge stated ‘the launch of the One Club One County initiative provides everyone at the Club with a common identity and allows us to understand who we are collectively as a Club. It also allows us to lay the foundations to establish a strong brand within the local community in order to increase our supporter base and develop our commercial activities to the next level. The 2017/18 season promises to be an exciting one which offers many opportunities and provides great levels of optimism throughout all areas of the Club’.
