This afternoon, we welcome Crewe Alexandra to Rodney Parade. The Railwaymen will be flying-high after they defeated Morecambe FC 6-0 at home last weekend but Rodney Parade will provide a tougher test and with the support of County fans, it will be a great contest.
This afternoon, the Exiles will be searching for their first home Football League success over the visitors since 1978 but with the Amber Army behind them, anything is possible. Find out more about our visitors in our Match Preview.
THE SATURDAY WARM-UP with Newport City Radio
The family-friendly pre-match fanzone is back! County fans can enjoy the Saturday warm-up with Newport City Radio including the excitement of a young fan reading out the Team News, player interviews and live music.
Tomorrow’s live act is Jack Perrett who County supporters will remember from the recent Kit Launch. Jack will be giving his live rendition of his brand new Parklife parody, PortLife which looks at life in the ‘Port and mentions following the County. Watch the video on Youtube.
Visit out Club Shop in the Kingsway Centre to get your County merchandise ahead of the match. The shop will be open from 10am-2pm and stocks a range of County leisurewear and replica kits. You can also pick up brand new items such as hats, scarfs, umbrellas and rain jackets.
HALF TIME DRAW
This Saturday will mark the return of the Half Time Draw for 2018/19. Tickets are just £1 each and you can win one of three great prizes including: Half the Draw’s takings, £25 off at the Club Shop, and two tickets to the next home match.
BEFORE THE MATCH
It’s My Shout
Today we welcome It’s My Shout to Rodney Parade as they shoot the final scenes of their brand-new short film which will tackle the themes of isolation, loneliness and prejudice. The film centres around a group of football-loving youngsters who, in a final dream sequence, are playing football for Newport County AFC in front of some adoring home fans! Before the match and at half time YOU are the adoring fans so make sure you cheer loud!
You can read all about It’s My Shout in our Match Day Programme
Some of our First Time Season Ticket Holders will be making their HOME DEBUT with us this afternoon. They will be watching warm-up from the dugouts and completing a lap of honour. It’s exactly how all Home Debuts should go.
Guard of Honour
We are delighted to have Vila Dino Girls U11s joining us this afternoon as our very special guard of honour! Look out for them on the pitch before kick-off.
PICK UP A PROGRAMME
