A new fixture has been added with the news that a Newport County AFC XI side will travel to Celtic Park to face Cymru Championship South side Cwmbran Celtic on 6th August 2019.
All tickets will be made available on the night at the following prices:
Adults - £3
OAPs / U16's - £1
The game comes three days after the League Two campaign kicks-off against Mansfield Town and will see a County XI face off against a familiar foe who they played on several occassions in recent years in the Gwent Senior Cup.
It affords Cwmbran Celtic the ideal opportunity to prepare for their 2019/20 campaign which kicks off later that week.
Cwmbran Celtic manager Nicky Morgan should be a familiar name to Exiles supporters after he held the role of 'Matchday Assistant' at the club, before leaving to take the managerial position at Monmouth Town last season, moving now to Cwmbran Celtic.
Morgan said: "We at Cwmbran Celtic are really looking forward to welcoming a Newport County XI to Celtic Park. The fixture falls on the week we are set to start our season in the new Cymru Championship (south) and there will be no better preparation for us going into our campiagn.
