To put supporters' minds at rest due to a raft of COVID cancellations, Newport County AFC and Rochdale AFC would like to publicly confirm that Saturday's match will get played as it's scheduled.
The English and Welsh footballing calendar has been decimated by postponements due to COVID diagnoses and, at the time of writing, only four games in League Two are set to be played this weekend.
It is with this in mind, as well as the long travel time the Amber Army have to do this weekend, that both clubs wish to make it clear that our game will NOT be postponed so that supporters of both sides can be at ease.
Newport County AFC would like to thank Rochdale for their openness during this time and we advise that those making the trip to Spotland be aware of Rochdale's COVID guidelines on Saturday afternoon.
