Newport County face Hungerford Town in our second pre-season friendly as our preparations for the 2022-23 season continue.
Our pre-season opener ended in a 7-0 win at Undy AFC, with new signings Will Evans, Sam Bowen, Aaron Wildig and Offrande Zanzala all finding the net in their first outings as County players.
James Waite netted a brace and academy forward Tom Stokes also scored in the convincing win last Friday night.
Saturday afternoon sees us take on Hungerford Town in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Dragon Park, that will kick off at 2pm.
Manager James Rowberry will utilise his first-team squad in two 60-minute matches to get an hour's game time in their system, with one XI playing in the first match and a second XI playing in the second match. Last Friday's friendly saw two sets of XIs each getting a half.
After Hungerford on Saturday it's a trip to Cardiff City's International Sports Stadium to take on the Bluebirds, again as two 60-minute matches, on July 12.
Then it's Weston-Super-Mare away next Friday, Torquay away the following day and our matches conclude on July 23 with a trip to Forest Green Rovers.
