Newport County AFC are delighted to announce that we have agreed a deal to sign Aaron Wildig from Morecambe when his contract expires.
Aaron will join the Exiles on July 1 after a seven-season stint with the Shrimps in which he earned promotion to League One in the 2021 League Two play-off final.
After coming through the ranks at Cardiff City where he made 13 first-team appearances, scoring once, Aaron joined Shrewsbury Town and was part of his first League Two promotion-winning side in 2012 as they finished as League Two runners up.
On the signing of Aaron, Newport manager James Rowberry said: “Aaron brings a wealth of experience to our attacking department and the team. Having two promotions on his CV, along with his leadership qualities, I’m really looking forward to working with Aaron.
“I’m sure you’ll give Aaron a very warm welcome to our club.”
