As we get set to enter a new month, Newport County AFC wish to outline to supporters what to expect from the club throughout the month of July.
July is the month where supporters' excitement for the 2022-23 season can really kick into gear, as we open the month with a trip to Undy AFC on Friday for our first pre-season friendly of the summer.
For that, and every other friendly, we will provide previews for news on ticket details, travel advice for the games and anything else supporters need to know ahead of the fixture.
Then of course, all pre-season matches will feature live coverage across our social media channels so supporters don't miss a moment with match reports, match galleries and quote pieces from manager James Rowberry to follow after the final whistle and in the following days respectively.
While on the subject of pre-season, here is our full schedule of matches:
July 1: Undy AFC (A) – 19:00
July 9: Hungerford Town (H, Dragon Park, Behind Closed Doors) – 14:00
July 12: Cardiff City (A, International Sports Stadium, 2 x 60-minute matches) – 18:30
July 15: Weston-Super-Mare (A) – 19:30
July 16: Torquay United (A) – 15:00
July 23: Forest Green Rovers (A) – 15:00
Season ticket sales will also continue throughout the month of July, with supporters reminded that seats go on general sale from Monday, July 4 so renewers need to be quick to keep their seat! While some lucky supporters will also have their season ticket personally delivered to them by a County player this month!
Also in July, Supporters Trust and Clwb Spytty members will both be able to attend open training sessions, with the Supporters Trust's to occur on the 14th and Clwb Spytty's on the 27th.
July 22 will see the club's photoshoot day which will provide the club with headshots of all members of the playing staff for the upcoming campaign, as well as images for all graphics used across our social channels such as for our online teamsheet and goal scorers.
Furthermore, as we have seen already this summer, there will be a continuation of coverage from inside training sessions to give supporters a behind-the-scenes insight into how we are preparing for the new season, as well as interviews with players, manager James Rowberry and sporting director Darren Kelly.
If you have missed any of our pre-season interviews to date, they are all available to watch on the club's YouTube channel.
And if that wasn't enough, we will launch our away kit in July with our home kit now available for pre-order from the club shop.
But the unquestionable highlight of the month comes right at the end as we officially kick-off the 2022-23 League Two season with our trip to Sutton United on the 30th!
Our full fixture calendar for the upcoming season is also available here!
As ever, we thank you for your continued support! Come on you Exiles!
