Newport County winger Bobby Kamwa has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award following an impressive run of performances in March.
Kamwa has become a key attacking outlet for County in recent weeks, playing a vital role as the side battles to retain its League Two status. Operating in a wider role, his pace and direct running have caused problems for opposition defences, while his end product has proven decisive in key moments.
The winger was instrumental in three victories during the month, registering two assists in the win over Tranmere Rovers, scoring the equaliser at Barnet, and producing a superb looping strike to secure victory against Shrewsbury Town.
Kamwa is shortlisted alongside Kane Drummond (Oldham Athletic), James Gibbons (Cambridge United) and Mark Helm (Fleetwood Town), with all four players recognised for standout performances across March.
Drummond netted four times to boost Oldham’s play-off push, while Gibbons impressed defensively with three clean sheets and a crucial goal. Helm, meanwhile, contributed to every Fleetwood goal during the month, scoring four and assisting two.
Kamwa’s nomination highlights his growing influence within the Newport County squad, with his performances providing a significant boost during a crucial stage of the Sky Bet League Two season.
