Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of experienced centre midfielder Harrison Biggins from Shrewsbury Town until the end of the season.
Sheffield-born Biggins, 29, has made 258 professional appearances, scoring 21 goals in a career that commenced as a youth in the Barnsley FC Academy.
The linkman, whose father Wayne starred as a striker for a clutch of high-profile clubs including Burnley, Norwich, Manchester City, Celtic and Stoke City, has made 29 appearances for the Shrews since landing in Shropshire from Doncaster Rovers in June 2024.
Biggins initially cut his teeth at Northern Premier League Premier Division club Stocksbridge Steels FC prior to establishing himself in the Football League with Fleetwood in July 2017 - the schemer staying almost five years at the Highbury Stadium, racking up102 games, scoring six goals.
Stops to Barrow - on loan - followed before Donny and Shrewsbury, the midfield lynchpin also going out on loan to National Conference club Carlisle United where he played 17 times between August 2024 and January.
