Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of central defender Ryan Delaney on loan from League Two promotion-challenging Swindon Town until the end of the season.
Towering Irishman Delaney returns to Rodney Parade after leaving NP19 for the Robins' County Ground in June 2024 as a free agent.
Delaney, now 29, made 41 appearances for County during campaign 2023/24, scoring once.
Overall, the much-travelled Delaney has amassed 248 professional matches, firing 17 goals, seeing service at Wexford, Burton, Cork City [loan], Rochdale, AFC Wimbledon [loan], Bolton, Morecambe, Scunthorpe [loan], Newport and, of course, Swindon.
Subject to FA of Wales and English Football League clearance, Delaney could make his second Exiles' debut in the League Two clash at Gillingham this Saturday.
