Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Wales U-21 international winger Tanatswa Nyakuhwa on loan from League One leaders Cardiff City until the end of this season.
The Welshman, 20, possesses searing pace and ball trickery. The attacker is seen as one of the many exciting young talents emerging from the Bluebirds Academy and has already made nine first-team appearances for Cardiff.
Capped at all youth levels by his country, County's loan capture of Nyakuhwa is seen as a measure of the trust the Bluebirds hierarchy have in the football philosophy of Port management duo Christian Fuchs and number two Mark Smith.
This will be Nyakuhwa's first move away from the Cardiff City Stadium. Subject to FA of Wales and English Football League clearance, the wide player could make his County debut in the League Two clash at Gillingham's Priestfield home this Saturday.
