Club Statement | Supporter Conduct

Terrace

Newport County would like to remind all supporters of the standards of behaviour expected at Rodney Parade.

During recent home fixtures, the club has unfortunately recorded a number of serious incidents of unacceptable behaviour from individuals within the Terrace area. This behaviour falls well below the values and standards expected from supporters representing Newport County.

The club works closely with stadium safety staff, match officials and the relevant authorities to ensure Rodney Parade remains a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all supporters, players, staff and visitors.

We want to be clear that abusive, discriminatory or threatening behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Individuals found responsible for such conduct risk facing sanctions which may include ejection from the stadium, suspension or banning from future matches, and potential involvement from the relevant authorities.

Supporters are also reminded that their behaviour reflects on the club and the wider fanbase, the vast majority of whom represent Newport County with pride and respect every matchday.

Due to repeated issues in recent weeks, the club must also advise that should further incidents occur, the area behind the dugouts within the Terrace may be closed, as has been necessary in previous seasons.

Newport County appreciates the passion and support shown by our fans throughout the season and asks everyone attending Rodney Parade to help ensure the stadium remains a positive environment for all.
